Q: This is your first move into GT racing. What is the biggest challenge for you?
Being used to 30-minute sprint races, the endurance element is what is going to be the biggest challenge but, at the same time, it is also the biggest attraction for me. The 24 Hours of Le Mans is a massive draw but it’ll have to adapt to a longer stint behind the wheel in preparation.
Q: You drove the Vantage GTE in Portimao. Did you like it and how is it different to anything you have driven before?
The Aston Martin Vantage is my all time favourite road car so driving a race prepared version is stunning. It’s much more powerful than any of the touring cars I have driven and the downforce is immense, It’s got me really excited for this year as the quality of the car and it's preparation were first class.
Q: Which of the eight WEC races are you most looking forward to and why?
I know it is predictable but the 24 Hours of Le Mans really stands out, it is legendary, the heritage and challenge really get me going. I’m also looking forward to Interlagos and Spa, I’ve never raced at either before they are more iconic circuits to tick off the bucket list! Spa is raved about by the drivers on the F1 circuit, its mountainous terrain and stunning scenery make it a real driver’s circuit.
