Aston Martin Racing is proud to announce Gize, the gold filtered mineral water, as the latest partner to the 2014 Aston Martin GT4 Challenge.
Gize was launched in 2009 and is a world leader in the supply of deluxe mineral water in still and sparkling forms, and in four sophisticated flavours. The water comes from Nova Scotia, Canada and is gold filtered to create the unique character for which Gize and Gize+ are so renowned.
The luxury drink is only distributed via selected partners throughout the world, but will be available in the GT4 Challenge hospitality unit during each race weekend. The partnership with the GT4 Challenge is not Gize’s first foray in to motorsport. Having sponsored teams since 2011 – the latest participating in the Blancpain Endurance Series as well as FIA GT Series in 2013 – Aston Martin Racing is pleased to have the brand on board for 2014.
“The GT4 Challenge prides itself on excellence, and this extends from the cars on track right through the engineering and garage support into the food and drink in the hospitality unit,” explains Andrew Williamson, Customer Programmes Manager at Aston Martin Racing.
He adds: “Gize shares our desire to strive for perfection and is therefore the perfect brand to join us in what promises to be the most exciting year of the Challenge as it becomes a support race to the British GT Championship.”
The GT4 Challenge is a unique opportunity for drivers of all abilities to compete in the latest Aston Martin race cars in endurance events on some of the best circuits in the UK and Europe while meeting like-minded people and enjoying the glamour of motor racing.
“Gize is at home where the extraordinary is the norm, therefore Aston Martin Racing is the perfect partner for our luxury drink. It is a pleasure offering Gize within the hospitality unit to guests who appreciate luxury in their lives”, Felin-Joy Sade, Brand Manager, said.
As many as 15 Aston Martin Vantage GT4s take to the track at each round and each driver experiences the comfort and durability they would expect of the road car but with enough speed and handling to offer one of the top amateur driving challenges in the UK. Abilities range from novice through to accomplished track drivers so the championship is ideal for those new to the sport while remaining highly competitive at the front of the grid.
In each of the six rounds, Challenge competitors race head-to-head in V8-powered Vantage GT4s. The Vantage GT4 is race version of the Vantage road car with 445 bhp engines, paddle-shift transmissions but with racing upgrades including Koni adjustable racing suspension, racing brake system and aero kit. The cars are powerful and easy to drive with a 50:50 weight balance and driver aids such as race-developed ABS and traction control. All cars have safety features including an FIA roll cage and racing fuel tank.
