5 January 2015, Gaydon: Aston Martin is significantly strengthening its operations in the Asia Pacific region with the appointment today of experienced automotive executive Patrik Nilsson as the territory’s Regional Director.
Mr Nilsson joins Aston Martin from McLaren Automotive, where he worked most recently as Operations Manager for the European region. Prior to that, he spent time in sales with sports car brands Porsche and Koenigsegg.
With a strong track record of developing sales and after-sales teams in prestige brands, plus a broad understanding of brand positioning and maintaining business focus in developing markets, Mr Nilsson is a strong addition to the growing Aston Martin business in the Asia Pacific region.
Following a period of familiarisation with the British brand’s sports cars and its UK operations, he will be based in the new Aston Martin offices in Singapore.
Mr Nilsson said: “I’m very pleased to be taking up this role with Aston Martin at what is, clearly, such an exciting time for the brand.
“The next couple of years will, I’m sure, present some fantastic opportunities to grow and develop the Aston Martin business in the Asia Pacific region, and I’m very much looking forward to helping the brand flourish there.”
Welcoming Mr Nilsson, Aston Martin Global Sales Director Christian Marti said: "Patrik is a great addition to our team, and I’m very happy that he will be bringing his knowledge, skills and enthusiasm to bear on our business in the important Asia Pacific region."
