3 January, 2013, Singapore: Aston Martin is continuing its bold expansion in Asia
with the opening of the luxury British sports car maker’s second showroom in
Singapore.
Opened in conjunction with the existing dealer partner, owned and managed by Dr
SK Djeng & Mr Derek McCully, the new showroom continues Aston Martin’s
ambitious expansion throughout South East Asia. It follows the recent appointment of
Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur, and comes in addition to the original location in Tuas,
which has been the home of Aston Martin Singapore for more than 18 years.
A gala celebration saw the stunning new showroom officially opened in the company
of Aston Martin partners and more than 120 guests. The event also served as the
official Singapore launch for two exceptional new sports cars: the ultimate Aston
Martin Vanquish and timeless new DB9.
The event was attended by Aston Martin’s Network Development General Manager,
Maria Plunkett and Asia Pacific Regional Operations Manager, Shoichi Terashima.
Maria Plunkett said: “Aston Martin is delighted to present our new model line-up in
this fantastic city centre location as we begin a year of fantastic centenary
celebrations in 2013.
“With our existing network of experienced Aston Martin dealerships in the region,
further market growth planned throughout 2013 and our strongest model line-up to
date, our business in South East Asia is expected to grow strongly this year.
The new showroom is conveniently located in Singapore’s premier automotive belt in
the city centre and will feature the full Aston Martin model range including Vanquish,
the ultimate super grand tourer, the timeless new DB9, the sporty and nimble
Vantage range and the luxurious and elegant Rapide – the world’s most beautiful
four-door sports car.”
Shoichi Terashima added: “We are expecting Singapore sales to increase further in
2013 with more visitors to the new city centre location, exciting new cars and the
Aston Martin centenary celebrations.”
