The new racing school at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi is taking delivery of seven Aston Martin Vantage GT4s. The production-based cars will join a fleet of Yas SuperSports prototypes and single-seat racers in the circuit’s new line-up.
Aston Martin Racing has supplied the Vantage GT4s to full FIA regulations and included the optional sport shift semi-automatic transmission, passenger seats for instructors and the all-important air-conditioning.
“The Yas Marina Circuit is the most dramatic in the world and to fit with our image we wanted to use the most desirable racing cars we could find,” said Jonathan Tait, head of Yas Racing Academies. “The Aston Martin V8 Vantage is one of the most desirable sports cars in the Gulf, so the Vantage GT4 was the obvious car in which to teach our clients the art of circuit racing.”
These seven cars bring the total number of Vantage GT4s built by Aston Martin Racing to 79 since the cars introduction in 2008.
