Aston Martin is thrilled to announce the V12 Vantage has been awarded Wheels Magazine Supercar of the year. The V12 Vantage beat off stiff opposition from the Jaguar XKR and Lamborghini LP500 Valentino Balboni.
As the Middle East’s premier automotive weekly magazine, Wheels boasts the largest circulation and readership of any UAE car journal. The criteria of entry for the awards, voted for by Wheels writers, meant each car had to have been on sale in 2009, and test driven over the course of the last year.
Wheels Editor Amit Benjamin reviewed the V12 Vantage for Wheels last year: “The Aston Martin V12 is a traditional sports car in every sense, with a wonderful six litre engine up front, delivering enormous reserves of power to only the rear wheels. Sublime looks have been made even better with the DBS style rims and carbon fibre bonnet lourves and rear diffuser.”
Marek Reichman, Director of Design at Aston Martin, said: “The V12 Vantage is Aston Martin’s most exhilarating sports car and has been designed with pure driving enjoyment in mind. We are honoured to receive this award from such a well-respected and established publication, which is a tribute to this car’s ability.”
The Aston Martin V12 Vantage is the marque’s fastest and most agile Vantage ever; ultimate performance interpretation of the Vantage range. The V12 Vantage combines everyday usability with the latest race-derived technology.
