(25 August 2013, Shanghai): Aston Martin, the famous British luxury sports car maker with a century of history, linked up with its Chinese dealer partners today to celebrate its centenary year. China’s first Aston Martin rally set out from the marque’s impressive showroom in Pudong, Shanghai. 

Following  Aston Martin’s centenary celebrations in the British capital last month, the China Centenary Rally will enable Chinese owners and fans to experience “Power, Beauty and Soul”. 

Ms Jenny Zheng, Regional Director of Aston Martin China, said at the opening ceremony:

“Aston Martin remains one of the most exclusive and sought-after brands in the world. In this our 100th year, we look forward to sharing this milestone with our team, our partners, our customers and Aston Martin enthusiasts around the world. I feel very honoured to bring this centenary celebration to China and share the excitement and pleasure with our customers and car enthusiasts. I wish you all a successful Centenary China Rally!” 

The journey, which will be an experience of a lifetime will see the Aston Martin Centenary China Rally travel through nine cities over the course of nine days, from Shanghai to Hangzhou and then Zhoushan, Hengdian, Wuyishan, Tulou, Xiamen and Shenzhen, finally crossing the finish line in Hong Kong. The closing ceremony will be held with the amazing view of Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong as the backdrop.
