Beechdean
Motorsport AMR

Beechdean Motorsport was established in 2001 by driver and team owner, Andrew Howard. After a successful start to his career in Mini Miglia’s and Britcar, Andrew chose to compete in the newly revamped British GT Championship with his Aston Martin N24 GT4 Vantage. Beechdean ran two N24’s over 2008 and 2009, resulting in a FIA GT4 win and took their first class win at the 24 Britcar Endurance Race ( Finishing 2nd overall and 4th overall).

Team Information

It was in 2009 when things really took off as the team purchased the DBRS9 X1 prototype and development car. The team remained in the British GT championship for 2010 and 2011, taking several podiums and two wins ( the last one at Silverstone in the DBRS9 last ever competitive win).

Another first came in 2012 with the second development car offered by AMR, this time with the Aston Martin Vantage V12 GT3 when Andrew and team mate, Jonny Adam, took the first ever win for Aston Martin Racing in the new Vantage at the British GT Championship. Since then there’s been no looking back and the partnership between AMR and Beechdean has grown from strength to strength. With an appearance at Silverstone in the World Endurance Championship, the team proved their professionalism in front of a strong crowd and have since made the decision to move into Blancpain for 2013, along with another full season contesting the British GT Championship amongst an ever growing field of strong competition.
