Bangkok – Aston Martin Bangkok by Heritage Motor Sales and Services (Thailand) Co., Ltd arrives at the 35th Bangkok International Motor Show 2014 (BIMS) with a stunning selection of uniquely appealing luxury sports cars thanks to its bespoke personalisation service: Q by Aston Martin.
Aston Martin Bangkok is giving the iconic British marque its long-awaited debut under the “Road to the Next Century” theme at the 35th BIMS 2014 event as Aston Martin builds its presence in Thailand following its introduction in 2013.
Aston Martin Bangkok is showcasing the highly sought-after bespoke service Q by Aston Martin at Muang Thong Thani, venue of the BIMS.
The highly-customised Q by Aston Martin V12 Vantage S making its Thailand premiere, is using the Aston Martin Bangkok stand to demonstrate how customers can visualize their Q by Aston Martin creations – while General Manager of VIP and Q sales, Dr Matthew Bennett, will be available to give customers guidance on personalization of their favorite Aston Martin model.
Mr Suttipong Wannawanit, General Manager of Aston Martin Bangkok, a subsidiary of the Master Group Corporation (Asia) Co., Ltd explained: “This unique creation of highly-customized specifications for a new Aston Martin requires time, which our customers will most definitely find worthwhile.
“What Q by Aston Martin delivers to the customer is unique freedom of imagination, allowing the Aston Martin buyer to go far beyond specification and option sheets.”
He added: “In addition, it presents a challenge to our designers and engineers at our global headquarters in Gaydon to come up with a bespoke masterpiece.”
At the BIMS, Aston Martin Bangkok is showing a six-car line-up worth a total of approximately 150 million baht: the Q by Aston Martin V12 Vantage S, Vanquish, Rapide S, DB9, and V8 Vantage S.
The Q by Aston Martin V12 Vantage S is based on Aston Martin’s most powerful and fastest production model since the One-77 hypercar. The unique car on show in Thailand boasts a bold colour scheme comprising striking Artica White paint and Jet Black roof.
Other technical highlights include specially-painted brake calipers, red tinted carbon fibre, and chrome and white enamel Q by Aston Martin badging.
Mr Suttipong Wannawanit said: “We [Aston Martin Bangkok] are Thailand’s first and only official dealership of the Aston Martin brand which enables us, among many other things, to provide the reassurance of a certified aftersales service by our Gaydon-trained technicians and mechanics.
Aston Martin Bangkok provides genuine Aston Martin spare parts, tools, the AMDS (Aston Martin Diagnostic System) and peace of mind with our three-year unlimited mileage warranty.”
Aston Martin Bangkok’s commitment to the High Luxury Sports (HLS) segment in Thailand is represented by its 300-million THB 3S (Sales, Service and Spareparts) showroom at Rama III and the boutique showroom at Siam Paragon. Both showrooms have a combined floor space of approximately 500 square metres. The Rama III facility has a private customer lounge for bespoke and Q by Aston Martin creations.
The Aston Martin lineup consists of the flagship Vanquish, the ultimate Grand Tourer. The Vanquish boasts the latest AM11 Gen4 V12 engine – the most powerful production engine in Aston Martin history. Power output is 573 PS and torque is 620 Nm. From a standstill, it reaches 100 kph in only 4.1 seconds.
Next is the Rapide S – the world’s most beautiful four-door sports car. The Rapide S is agile, balanced and controlled. A near-perfect 48:52 front/rear weight distribution is complemented by 620 Nm of torque and a power output of 558 PS. It sprints from a standstill to 100kph in 4.9 seconds.
DB9, meanwhile, is the world’s most timeless sports GT. More luxurious, more refined, more elegant – today’s DB9 redefines luxury for a timeless sports Grand Tourer. Peak power of 517 PS; effortless torque of up to 620 Nm; a sprint time of just 4.6 seconds thanks to its AM11 V12 engine – these elements combine to make the DB9 a worthy addition to the iconic DB bloodline.
And finally the Vantage, which embodies the definition of a true sports car. The Vantage retains the renowned GT capability of the DB9 and Vanquish but with a lighter, more compact body shape. Two Vantage variants are offered: the lightweight 4.7-litre V8 or muscular 6.0-litre V12, appearing in the line-up as V8 Vantage, V8 Vantage S and V12 Vantage S.
