Bangkok - Aston Martin Bangkok, the first official Aston Martin dealership in Thailand, is celebrating its official signing ceremony with Aston Martin Lagonda UK Ltd at the city’s prestigious W Hotel.
The ceremony announced Aston Martin Bangkok – managed by Heritage Motor Sales & Services (Thailand) Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of Master Group Corporation (Asia) – as the first official Aston Martin dealership in Thailand.
Aston Martin Bangkok aims to spearhead the High Luxury Sports segment in the region, signaling the continued expansion of the world-renowned Aston Martin brand in Thailand and beyond.
Aston Martin Bangkok will be a key player in enhancing the business portfolio of automotive retailer Master Group Corporation (Asia), according to Group Managing Director Dr Sunhavut Thamchuanviriya.
Christian Marti, Global Sales Director for Aston Martin said: “I am particularly excited about this new dealership signing ceremony with Heritage Motor Sales & Services (Thailand) in what is, of course, Aston Martin’s centenary year. Thailand is a remarkable market filled with enormous growth potential, a perfect environment for the Aston Martin brand which already exports around 80% of production.”
Aston Martin Bangkok General Manager Suttipong Wannawanit, an auto industry veteran, will oversee the brand’s expansion into the Thai market. Aston Martin Bangkok promises two showrooms: a 3S state-of-the-art building at Rama 3 and at Siam Paragon. Together, they offer a combined area of approximately 500 square metres of floor space.
Sales of the luxury British sports cars begin this month from a new state-of-the-art 390 sq. metre showroom on Rama 3 road which also boasts a dedicated service facility, genuine spare parts and certified technicians and mechanics located. This new showroom and aftersales facility is nestled in the affluent business district of Rama 3, the perfect place to experience Aston Martin Bangkok`s range of handcrafted high luxury sports cars.
Aston Martin Bangkok’s model line-up is led by the flagship 573 PS Vanquish Coupe, known around the world as the ultimate Grand Tourer. Its AM11 VH Gen4 V12 engine means the Vanquish has the most powerful series production engine in Aston Martin history. Maximum torque is rated at 620 Nm, while it carries the car from rest to 100 kph in only 4.1 seconds.
The Rapide S, meanwhile, known as the world’s most beautiful four-door sports car, is agile, balanced and supremely controllable. A near-perfect 48:52 front/rear weight distribution, space for four adults to be transported in sports car comfort and phenomenal performance springs from its 620 Nm of torque and power output of 558 PS. As such, the Rapide S can sprint from a standstill to 100 kph in a mere 4.9 seconds.
The DB9, the world’s most timeless sports GT, is designed for elegance and balance. The new DB9 redefines luxury in a Sports Grand Tourer with hand-stitched Bridge of Weir leather hides covering the interior just one clue to its luxurious nature. Peak power of 517 PS and effortless torque of up to 620 Nm see the car hit 100 kph in just 4.6 seconds. It is, in short, the most powerful DB9 ever produced.
The two-seat Vantage, meanwhile, is another Aston Martin that embodies the definition of a true sports car. The Vantage was born from an ambition to create a car capable of mixing luxury and track-inspired sporting appeal in equal measure. The Vantage is a car which looks back to a legendary Aston Martin model name, and yet also looks forward to a new era of pure sporting ability. The sleek exterior is matched by an interior of cosseting comfort. There are two Vantage powerplant variants: a lightweight 4.7-litre V8 and a muscular 6.0-litre V12 available across three models; the V8 Vantage,V8 Vantage S and extreme new V12 Vantage S.
A key factor in the forthcoming success of Aston Martin Bangkok is its dedicated customer lounge which will be used for product configurations catering to each individual customer’s discerning requirements.
Mr Marti added: "Aston Martin has an award-winning model line-up, exciting new product plans and a growing global presence. In the continued development of our market expansion in the Asean region, we have taken our time to carefully consider the right locations and partners. I am very happy that Dr Sunhavut and the enthusiastic team of Master Group Corporation (Asia) will take this great British brand forward in Thailand."
Khun Suttipong added: “The discerning Thai customer appreciates the excitement, elegance and enjoyment that only an Aston Martin can offer.
“Based on the demand for Aston Martin sports cars in the local market over several years, we realized it was the appropriate time to open an official Aston Martin dealership with the resources and capabilities to provide genuine service. We are proud to represent Aston Martin.”
A key pillar for Aston Martin Bangkok is its eight-point Aftersales service policy which is a testament to the commitment of Heritage Motor Sales & Services (Thailand), the subsidiary of Master Group Corporation (Asia):
Khun Suttipong added that the “Localization and Welcoming Package” will cater specifically to Aston Martin owners who have purchased their vehicle from dealers outside of the authorized Aston Martin Bangkok dealership.
“Aston Martin Bangkok is the most advanced, state-of-the-art, facility of its kind in Thailand. More importantly, perhaps, customers should recognize that we have Gaydon-certified technicians and mechanics trained in Europe.”
Aston Martin Bangkok will offer the Vantage, Vanquish, Rapide S and DB9 line-up with prices ranging from 13 million up to more than 20 million baht.
MGC Group Managing Director Dr Sunhavut said that Aston Martin Bangkok will exceed market expectations due to a growing market demand. He said: “I am most confident that Khun Suttipong will deliver an unprecedented ownership experience to our Aston Martin customers, based on his experience in global multi-national companies and, more importantly, his passion for the Aston Martin brand.”
