Aston Martin is gearing up to enter into the Swedish market with the opening of Aston Martin Stockholm in early 2010. The new dealership will open in conjunction with local luxury car brand specialist Callisma.
Michael van der Sande, Aston Martin Chief Commercial Officer, said: “The Callisma portfolio has enjoyed a long-standing experience in the luxury segment and I am confident we have selected the strongest partner in this new market. Sweden is an important step in the expansion of our global dealership network, and brings Aston Martin to the doorstep of many new customers throughout the region.”
“We strongly believe in the Aston Martin brand and products and we see a very high demand on the Swedish market as customers have been waiting for Aston Martin to enter this market for some time”, said Fred Mannerfelt, CEO Callisma. “Aston Martin is a great compliment to our brand portfolio and we look forward to a successful collaboration.”
The Aston Martin showroom will be housed in a newly structured 1,700 m2 gallery-style building, located in the affluent suburb of Danderyd, north of Stockholm. It will be supported by a dedicated full service facility on-site and will incorporate the same design elements that identify the elegance of the British marque worldwide.
The entire model range; Vantage, DB9, and the flagship DBS will be available to the Swedish market, including the world’s most elegant four-door sports car, the Rapide, that debuted at the IAA Frankfurt Motor show earlier this year and will arrive at the showrooms in March 2010.
Aston Martin continues to expand its dealership network on a global scale, with further ambitious projects well under way. Within the European region, Aston Martin Stockholm brings the total number of dealers to 47 with additional developmental plans planned for completion in early 2010 for both Poland and Greece.
